When Michael Bryant announced the Liberal Government's intention to ban pitbulls last year, pitbull owners, myself included, were shocked. How could a supposedly liberal government take such a reactive, prejudicial and drastic approach? Pitbull owners scrambled to find one another in an attempt to gather information, strength and support in the face of legislation that threatened our dogs and our rights. Despite our best efforts and the evidence of experts, Michael Bryant with the full support of the McGuinty government passed the pitbull ban. Responsible pitbull owners, owners of other banned breeds and animal experts across the country are appalled by the Liberal government's ban and will not stop fighting. We do not want to live in a province that encourages, supports and passes PREJUDICIAL legislation and we will fight for the removal of this government and the overturning of the pitbull ban.
